Amalga Meadows Cabin
The Juneau Park Foundation is proud to announce that CBJ Parks and Recreation has opened the brand new Amalga Cabin for public rentals. This beautiful 16X14 overnight cabin is located on a small beach within the Amalga Meadows Park, and is accessed by a short trail from the Eagle Valley Center. Up to 8 guests can stay at the cabin, which offers beautiful ocean views of Favorite Channel and Shelter Island.
The Juneau Park Foundation wishes to thank the Rasmuson Foundation, Juneau Community Foundation, Sea Level Transport, Trail Mix, Brad Campbell and volunteer crew, and especially the Juneau Parks and Recreation Department staff who collectively made this project happen. We’d also like to thank Wes Tyler and Icy Straits Lumber and Milling in Hoonah, who made this high quality cabin kit out of regionally sourced Tongass lumber.
The Amalga Cabin is truly a thing of beauty, and provides Juneau with yet another wonderful recreational opportunity as part of our CBJ Parks and Recreation Department. For more details and to make a rental reservation please follow this link: https://juneau.org/parks- recreation/amalga-cabin
